Discipline: Third Grade All Stars! HitsGood Decision Hits: -students setting an example -students going out of their way to help others -living the code

Discipline: Third Grade All Stars! Bad Decision Strikes -students not following directions -continued chatting or calling out during work time -students being hurtful or rude to others -not following the Classroom Expectations or Honor Code

Discipline: Third Grade All Stars! 4 Hits = Home Run (praise note home) First Strike= Warning Second Strike= Think Sheet Third Strike= Student must write parent/s a note. It must be signed by teacher and the parent/s. Fourth strike= parent, student, and teacher conference

Homework! (30-45 minutes) Homework is assigned daily in Language Arts and Math. Homework is assigned weekly in Religion, Spanish and Science/Social Studies. Students are responsible for copying their homework in their Homework Planner each day (and USING the planner at home) Homework is also posted on HTS website daily

Missing/Late Homework Homework Log, Missing HW Notice Must be made up/teacher initials log Students with no missing homework over a two week period of time will be rewarded with a small prize for their hard work.

How Can You Help With Homework? Encourage child to create a homework “space” 3 rd Grader – complete independently HW is a reinforcement of a skill If child does not understand, review directions “Teaching moment”- Take it! HW is an assessment, not for a “grade” Send an if there is a lot of difficulty We want to see effort/responsibility
