European Partners for Energy Performance Technical Partners from: GE (leadpartner IKKE Informationszentrum für Kälte-, Klima- und Energietechnik, Duisburg) UK (College), BE (Vocational training centre) HU ( Monitoring and Certification Centre) NL ( Knowledge Centre VET)

Background EU Directive (EPBD) updated for buildings with a cooling capacity of > 12 kW. -EPBD contains guidelines, methods and requirements for periodically inspection. -Testing and certification of EP at least 1 x 5 years (12-45 kW). -Due to the EPBD,2002/91/EG there's urgent need for well qualified persons to inspect, certify and maintain installations for the ‘comfort of persons’ (>12 Kw). -Lack of up-to-date training courses, competence profiles and exams in these fields (except in Germany, which is at the forefront of VET and examinations (theory, practice) as inspector for installations >12kW)

Main Aim -To optimize the competence profiles - Up-to-date training materials / approaches for the sectors electro, installation & maintenance to be able to fulfill the obligations of the EPBD. Main objective: transferring innovation in knowledge between VET- and VET-related organizations on inspection & certification of installations for the comfort of persons, >12 kW.

PROJECT RESULTS -Competence profiles, materials, methods and approaches fit to (a)EU Directive EPBD,2002/91/EG, (b)The European Qualification Framework – EQF -ICT D-base with competence profiles, teaching-, training- & lesson materials. -ICT measurement / assessment tool for the screening / assessment, validation of prior learning, personal development & lifelong learning of competences -Pilots / tests for trainers, teachers, students / workers -Information for sectors (EU), f.e. through seminars, periodical publications.
