1 Digital Video Surveillance Systems: An Overview  Michael Dillon Vice President, Business Development Global Municipal and Public Safety Markets

2 What exactly is Wireless DVS? It’s just a camera system, right? Wireless Digital Video Surveillance is the deployment of video camera systems using wireless technology designed to deliver high-quality, evidence-grade video to the users, while reducing the time, risks and complications of deploying these systems using only wires. This enables the interoperability between multiple edge devices and backend software systems to extend the application and usefulness of video surveillance systems in order to: o Deter unwanted activity. o Encourage voluntary compliance with laws, rules, policy, etc. o To capture evidence of crime and other wrong-doing o To exonerate the innocent and corroborate facts o To overwhelm false and erroneous claims and frivolous litigation 2008 © Firetide, Inc
