Introduction The survey hypothetically is divided in two main parts :  Theoretical research on what an online information system is, how it is chosen, designed and installed, what advantages it offers  How the practical application in businesses and organisations is succeeded.

Introduction This survey is aiming to: Define what is an ordering information system How it is chosen and installed What advantages it offers Which is the connective relation with the e-commerce How a system can have practical implementation in a business/organization

What is an information system? A set of information resources organized for the collection, processing, maintenance, transmission, and dissemination of information, in accordance with defined procedures, whether automated or manual. Generally expanding in the following fields: o Human o Technology o Finance o Education o Policy o Social Activities

What is an online information system? The main mean that  accommodates  supports the electronic dealing is: An on line technological database scientifically known as online information system. Online = being connected to the Internet

Which is the connective relation with the e- commerce An online ordering information system is the main mean that supports electronic dealing. E- commerce is a wider term. E-commerce may be simply defined as the production, advertising, sale, and distribution of products via telecommunication networks. E-Commerce information systems is a specific kind of information systems, interconnected through the Internet so to support all kind of transactions.

Which is the connective relation with the e- commerce There are three main categories of e-commerce Information systems: Business-to-business (B2B) Business-to-consumer (B2C) Consumer-to-consumer (C2C)

Which are the main advantages of using an online information system The use of online systems benefits both the owners and the users as they provide: Revenue Enhancement Market Expansion Access to Customer Information Cost Reduction Friendly in Use Product Catalogue Traffic Logging Web Based

How to choose and install an ordering information system? The basic model should be consisting of the followings: Web Server Dynamic sites Cryptographic techniques Session tracking Authentication Relational Database Management System(RDMS).

Which are the demands that make an ordering information system effective? Efficiency Scalability Availability Management

Hardware Technically every computer is able to support an ordering information system. But there are some basic premisses that should be taken under consideration. The machine should be able to support Internet services with UPS and backup.

Security In the computer industry,security refers to techniques for ensuring that data stored in a computer cannot be read or compromised by any individuals without authorization. What is security autorization? An authorization certificate is a digital document that describes a written permission from the issuer to use a service or a resource that the issuer controls or has access to use.

Security What is security authentication? Authentication is the process by which a computer, computer program, or another user attempts to confirm that the computer, computer program, or user from whom the second party has received some communication is, or is not, the claimed first party

How to aim a successful On-Line Information System Implementation Some basic questions : a.Do you use online information Systems? b.If yes, which do you prefer? c.What kind of equipment(hardware-software)do you use? d.Which security certificates do you prefer? e.How users can be benefit from your online system? f.Which factors were of major importance to the choose of the ordering system g.How is your online ordering system been installed?
