Make sure …  Make sure you understand the purpose of the presentation.  Message should be clear and concise, targeting the majority of the audience  Remember who your audience is  Consider why you were chosen to give the presentation

Prepare …  Prepare what you’re going to say and what resources you may need to supplement the presentation  Always plan what you want to say and how you want to say it  If possible, plan the presentation on paper or a word processor, outlining the main topics  Include timing for questions during and after the presentation, media sources, and appropriate pauses as you deliver each point  Include a review of the location where you will deliver the presentation

Create …  Create the presentation in the medium available and review it often  Most create the presentations using a dedicated program  Follow the traditional style for presentations to be as clear and concise as possible in your points  Be careful with color  Once created, review the points before committing to final version

Deliver …  Deliver the presentation  To yourself and friends or colleagues before you go live  More rehearsals -> the more confident you will be on subject matter, and to answer questions  Think about your stance  Aim to be relaxed when delivering the points  Think about your voice  Speak with authority with a relaxed tone as if speaking in conversation tones
