19-20 March 2009 IAEA, Vienna Management System Information management. RPC prepared investment project of State Register of Sources of Ionizing Radiation and Exposure Doses of Workers and received about 290,000 EUR support from budget of Lithuania Republic for this register creating. RPC formulated 23 procedures and 31 work instructions of quality management system for assurance of regulatory functions according to LST EN ISO 9001:2008 and this year is preparing for institution certification. (What about the Quality management system of the regulatory authority in your country?) Laboratory of Radiological Research for quality assurance has a quality manual and has been accredited several years ago according to ISO 17025:2005 in five main areas: 1.Strontium measurements; 2.Tritium measurements; 3.X ray machines quality control; 4.Individual dose measurements; 5.Gama spectrometry.

19-20 March 2009 IAEA, Vienna S Strengths W Weaknesses 1. Legal basis. 2. Effective infrastructure of the Regulatory Body. 3. Optimal attention of the Government for the strengthenment of radiation safety and control infrastructure. 4. Additional financial support from the government for the salaries of the specialists. 5. Optimal number of specialist working in regulatory authority, suitable material and technical equipment. 6. Quality management system. Accreditation. 1.
