The Water Cycle Presented By: Jessica Gregory & Heather Berthoff EDU 505 Multimedia and Internet Professor Harrison Yang Summer 2008

Introduction to the Water Cycle It's recess time and you have to stay in and watch another movie! Where does all this rain come from? How do we get our water and will it ever run out? Without water what would we do?

Your Task… This is your chance to teach us something about the water cycle. You will use the internet to gather information about the water cycle. Then you will show the importance of evaporation, precipitation, and condensation. After you have completed that, you will create a poster explaining the cycle.

The Process… Visit the websites on the next page in order to answer the following questions to help you better understand the water cycle. 1. How does the water cycle work? 2. Define evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. 3. Where does the water cycle begin? Once you have collected your information, construct a poster showing how the water cycle works using your creativity and knowledge of the process.

Resources… http://ga.water.usgs.gov/edu/watercycle.html Click on give us your opinion. http://www.kidzone.ws/water/ look for the definitions http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/astronomy/planets/earth/Watercycle.shtml click on the diagram and label the parts of the water cycle. http://www.epa.gov/ogwdw/kids/flash/flash_watercycle.html Follow the signs through the water cycle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zejk_iNFfPA watch the video on the water cycle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw275056JtA listen to the water cycle song! http://kids.earth.nasa.gov/droplet.html Click on the game to have some fun with the water cycle!
