When I first saw what the assignment was.“The Cat in The Hat” was the first book that came to mind when I thought of books in my primary years. I never really liked to read when I was young, but this book was more then reading to me. It was a book about an cat that brought a lot of chaos to a home of children and did so by balancing lots of things on top of his hat like toys, umbrellas, a fish tank, etc. while balancing on a ball. As I kid I thought this was so cool because it’s a cat that is doing all this and despite it being fiction it allowed me to see the fun in reading and helped me to read more.
Charlotte’s Web was a very unique book that I found interesting as well. This book was about a girl name Fern, a pig name Wilbur and a spider name Charlotte that were friends. The pig Wilbur was soon to be killed for a until his friend Charlotte helped him by showing him how to perform tricks, which turned into money for this farm. I enjoyed this book because it taught me about friendship. It taught me as a kid that sometime our friends will need us for something and they will depend on us for survival of their life or their situation.
This book gives an insight in the life of a superstar Michael Jordan. The book shares the story of Michael Jordan childhood, college career, rookie season and his days a professional baseball player. This book impacted my life by allowing me to see Jordan an six time NBA Champion, go through adversity and still overcome his obstacles to become one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game. As an athlete in middle school it forced me to work harder in the classroom and on the basketball court to try an be like Michael Jordan.
Muhammad Ali, the greatest boxer of all time, was the man in the ring. In this book it shares the life of Muhammad Ali and how he never backed down from anything, even after being faced with Parkinson’s disease. In this book it shares how Ali took the boxing ring by force and went on to become the greatest boxer of all time, even though many saw him as a controversial person. This book impacted me because I was able to see a man say that he win a fight, say that he would not go to the military and actually accomplish everything he mentioned. It taught me that if you believe it, you can achieve it.
This book is an awesome book that ties our everday thoughts with biblical facts. We often wonder what our purpose in life is and what we are suppose to do. This book answers those questions by mentioning that God has and knows our purpose and that if we can know his purpose for us then it can save us some stress, energy and madness. This book impacted me because it helped me reduce stress by not wondering what I am going to do with my life and if I will find a job when I graduate. It made me believe that God is the driver of my life and that all I have to do is follow his plan and everything else will take care of itself.
I found this learning style also to be true for myself. I love to engage into conversation. I enjoy being involved in leadership programs and meeting new people. I truly consider myself a people’s person and even my friends tend to think I talk a little bit to much. I actually found this learning style to be true about myself. I enjoy playing sports. I played four years of high school and I even play basketball every Sunday. I learn best by using my hands and can’t stay seated for a very long time.
