APRS Automatic Packet Reporting System active on nationwide 144.39 MHz. EU/Australia active on different freqs. Supports text messaging (mobile-base, base-mobile, base-base), weather station reporting, local repeater “directory,” and vehicle location Hybrid VHF and internet system. Many VHF radios connected to internet. Real time traffic times! 2m DX Beacon too!

What is a Digipeater? Similar to a voice repeater, but repeats data packets. High up, generally > 25W. Simplex operation. Repeats a time delayed packet on same frequency. Specify how many times you want packet repeated. Each time repeated it decrements # repeat tag in packet.
