#3. Communication, collaboration and teamwork, using 21 st Century technologies and skills. Integrative STEM Principles CanDo Development Team Television & Multimedia students produce commercials for Special Olympics
#4. Real-world problems and challenges, which require the high-level application of both knowledge and skills. Integrative STEM Principles Students harness the XO laptop to capture audio from beehives
These principles are being implemented at the Governor’s Career & Technical Academy (GCTAA) at the Arlington Career Center. Governor’s Academy
Creation of Governor’s Academy in the Fall of 2008 adds dual-enrollment Focus on integrative STEM education to include NOVA’s presence CTE instructors become certified to teach dual-enrollment classes as adjunct faculty at NOVA. Virginia Tech trains instructors in integrative STEM pedagogy.
