ACE (Achieving a College Education) Early CollegeHoop of Learning Two Year Program (11 th /12 th grade) Two Year Program (11 th /12 th grade) One-Four Year Program (9 th -12 th grade) Eligibility – Must possess 1 or more specific criteria to apply Eligibility – Must be nominated by high school counselor and test college-ready Eligibility – Must be enrolled in federal/state recognized tribe Scholarship program that covers the majority of the costs Financial assistance is available for those who qualify Scholarship program that covers the majority of the costs May earn up to 24 college credits May earn up to 35 college credits (AGEC Certificate) Credits earned are unlimited, dependent upon time of enrollment
Fall ◦ Review your Maricopa Student Progress and GPA (View your unofficial transcript) ◦ Meet with an Academic Advisor ◦ Take the ACT/SAT ◦ Apply to the University (if transferring from PVCC) ◦ Begin applying for scholarships Early Spring ◦ January 1 – Complete and Submit FAFSA ◦ Continue applying for scholarships ◦ Submit Petition for AGEC Certification (if completed)
Do I enroll now to University and take my SAT/ACE per the normal freshman admission process? What if I want to stay at PVCC? Will completing college credit while in high school impact my ability to get freshman scholarships? If I’ve completed AGEC, how does the automatic admission to the University work?
Go to my.maricopa.edumy.maricopa.edu In your student center, under Academic History, click on the drop down menu, select Official Transcript. At the top, select the college from which the transcript will be sent (Mesa CC, Scottsdale, Rio Salado, Estrella Mountain, etc.) Scroll down, select Immediate Processing, Quantity 1 For Recipient Information, select Institution Click on the hour glass to find and select Paradise Valley Community College Use the hour glass to enter location Click submit Your class information will then be sent to PVCC. The course credit will be counted on your transcript toward AGEC, certificate, or degree completion, however the grade earned will not be calculated in your PVCC GPA. Transcripts from MCCD colleges to MCCD colleges have no charge. All other transcripts are charged $5 per copy.

Begin Process in January by completing the “PVCC Graduation Petition for Degrees, Certificates, and AGEC Certification” Having the "AGEC Completed" designation means that your classes will transfer as a block to the three in-state universities (ASU, NAU, and U of A).
