A Christmas Carol – Field Trip Schedule for the Day

Dress Code MUST be in compliance with school dress code No hoodies No shirts with insulting wording (i.e. If you are reading this shirt, you must be an idiot.) No holes in jeans PERIOD (no jeans with duct tape covering holes) No athletic jerseys or warm ups No flip flops Attempt to wear the following: khakis, dress pants, solid or striped shirts, shirts with collars Bring a coat; it will probably be cold

Rules NO electronic devices on the field trip AT ALL (I see it even if it doesn’t make a noise – I will take it and keep it for the rest of the field trip. You’ll also probably receive a closed lunch.) No food or drink in the theatre No talking during the performance. When the lights are off you are SILENT, when the lights are on you are whispering. Remain in your seat during the entire play (unless there’s an emergency – if you need to step out, take an adult with you) Applaud during curtain call Must be supervised by an adult at ALL times Stay seated after play for a Question/Answer session with the actors Try to sit with your first period class/bus group (ok if get separated but must ride bus back with them and ride same bus back)

Lunches Sack lunches Can buy: Sack lunches Can bring your own: can’t bring this on the bus with you There will probably be no 7th graders serving their closed lunches on this day – it will probably be pushed back to the next day If we return before 12:50 may have to go back to first period briefly. Lunch will be ready for us at 12:50. If you packed a lunch you go to your locker and get it as soon as it’s time for lunch. Don’t waste time, this will be part of your 25 minutes to eat. You’ll have 5 minutes after that to get to class.

If there’s a delay or cancellation, we probably will not go. 7th grade IRT Field Trip –Tuesday, Dec. 10 Schedule (tentative) Period 1 8:40-9:28 (Report to first period as normal - take only your coat with you to first period and go to the restroom before first period. Don’t be late to school or class. We’ll be leaving right after announcements/attendance and going to the bus area. Go to library if not attending. We will arrive at the IRT around 9:35 a.m., traffic permitting. The play begins at 9:45 a.m. When the play ends around 11:15 a.m., we will stay for a brief Q&A with the actors. Then we will be dismissed to our buses – you will need to go straight to your bus – remember what number you rode with. You must ride the same bus back with your P1 group.) Period 2 9:33-10:21 (7th grade is out of the building) Period 3 10:26-11:14 (7th grade is out of the building) Period 4 11:19-12-49 (7th grade will return around 12:25 p.m., go to the restroom and return to their P1 or chaperoning teacher’s classroom for a bit before lunch.) Period 5 12:54-1:41 (7thgrade will eat lunch during the first part of P5 – pack lunch or sack lunch purchase from cafeteria. will return to class at approximately 1:24 p.m., and then be in 5th period from then until 1:41.)
