Introduction and course requirements Course description This is a four-credit-hour course with the duration of one academic year. The course made up of didactic and clinical components. The course consists of one lecture (1 hour) and one clinical session of (3 hours) per week for the whole academic year. The primary goals of pediatric dentistry include the diagnosis and prevention of disease, the preservation of the natural dentition and the restoration of health, function and esthetic of stomatognathic system. Grading criteria II.Practical evaluation (Clinical Requirement) 30%. Distributed as follow: - 15% for who fulfills the clinical requirements, -5% for average of weekly evaluation (Quality of work and knowledge), -5% for number of weekly evaluation during the whole academic year -5% for points. Students will be evaluated on weekly basis. Several instructors are assigned for this course. Each instructor will work with a group of students for several weeks (four weeks), and then rotate with other group. The final grade for the quality of work will be calculated by averaging the grades given by all the instructors. The knowledge of the students will be tested on weekly basis by the instructor on the clinical procedure he performing or related topics as part of criteria of continuous assessment.
