What is your job like?  The president’s job varies everyday. The president has possibly the most famous and most difficult job in the country and it is hard to sum up what the job specifically entails. However, President of the United States of America is defined as the person who holds the office of head of state of the United States government.

How did this type of work interest you and how did you get started?  A president must have a great passion for leadership, international relations, helping better their country and helping better the world.  In order to become president, you must have great devotion to your country.

How did you get your job? 1.Meet eligibility guidelines set by the constitution 2.Test the water: Pre-Candidacy process 3.Declare candidacy and file applications with Federal Election Commission 4.Fundraise and campaign 5.Party primaries, caucuses, and delegates 6.Party conventions 7.General election campaign: The Final Candidates 8.Election Day: winning the popular and electoral votes

Which requirements must you meet to hold this position? "Age and Citizenship requirements” – US Constitution, Article II, Section 1: No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States. Other qualification are determined by individual voters based on the times, their values, belief, political ideology and other variables.

How to obtain necessary experience for the position:  Experience that may determine a successful president would be state legislative, legal training (attorneys, justices) and successful careers in the private sector (inventors, lawyers, authors, scholars)  These experiences may be obtained after much schooling

What things did you do before you entered this occupation?  It varies for every president. In the case of president Barack Obama, he was a member of the US Senate, a lawmaker, an attorney practicing civil rights law and also teaching constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School.

Why did you decide to become president?  To bring change to America and the world

Do you find your job boring or exciting?  The President’s job is always exciting. It is never the same. There is plenty of traveling and meeting lots of important people and working with them to better the world, a job that is never finished and extremely important.

What kind of people do you work with?  The Cabinet traditionally includes the Vice President and the heads of 15 executive departments-the Secretaries of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs, and the Attorney General. Cabinet- level rank has also been given to the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency; the Director of the Office of Management and Budget; the Director of the National Drug Control Policy; the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security; and the U.S. Trade Representative.

What is the average length for a person to stay in the position you hold?  Under the 22nd amendment it would be possible for a president to serve two full four-year terms after having assumed the Presidency by means other than election for a duration of up to two years. However, no president besides Roosevelt has ever served more than eight years.
