Quality assurance measures focus on the responsiveness of the service to the needs and interests of the child/person supported examine to what degree service providers use the inclusive approach in service provision identify areas for future improvement in service delivery

What do we measure? Fundamental Assurances Quality of Life Quality of Service

Fundamental Assurances services must have fundamental assurances in place before service is provided. assurances support the health, safety and welfare of children and the provision of quality services not Assurances are not quality measures

What is Quality? Who Defines Quality? Professional Consensus? Funders or Regulators? Consumers of Services?

Quality for the person means… Exercising rights Having Choice and control over ones life Having Relationships Community participation

How do we define quality of service? service responsiveness to the unique needs and choices of each child/person.
