A poverty reduction strategy that provides grants to poor households on condition that they spend it for the health, nutrition, and education needs of the family, particularly their children. It is one of the responses of the Philippine Government to the challenge of meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) CCT or 4Ps

Designed to promote investment in human capital among poor families with 0-14 year old children, CCT or 4Ps works to attain the following MDGs: Eradicating Extreme Poverty and Hunger Achieving Universal Primary Education Promoting Gender Equality and Empowering Women Reducing Child Mortality Improving Maternal Health Millennium Development Goals

Grants Health transfer – Php (US$11.8) per mother per month. Education transfer – Php300 (US$7.09) per child per month, for 10 months per year, for up to a maximum of three (3) children per family. For a maximum amount of Php1,400 (US$33.06) per household per month.

Coverage and Expansion To date, the 4Ps has covered over 900,000 household beneficiaries with cash grants amounting to Php 9.3 billion ($219,650,190). The program implementation currently covers 664 municipalities, 60 cities and 79 provinces nationwide.
