Parts Of Computer Networks What makes them work!

What is a URL What is an IP address An IP address is a unique identifier just like a phone number every PC laptop or device which connects to a network has a protocol address such as This address is assigned by the router

What is a URL Universal Resource Locator This is the address you link to such as it is unique to each address on the internet and is registered and payed for by the person who owns the internet site.

What is a Router A Router is an electronic device which links computers together in order to communicate. This does not mean the internet. Computers can communicate using languages and interfaces such as Wipeer.

What is TCP/IP Transmission Control Protocol. These are the standard electronic languages or frequencies which allow computers to communicate

What is Twisted Pair Twisted Pair is a type of wiring in which two conductors of a single circuit are twisted together for the purposes of canceling our electromagnetic interference or EMI from external sources.

What is a WEP A WEP is Wired Equivalent Privacy a weak outdated encryption method used to keep people off your wireless network.

WPA-2 WPA-2 is a secure wireless method to protect your network but it has flaws due to (Secure Socket Identification) ssid hacking issues.
