Milestone One: Project Plan Presentation INFO 1003

Purpose of Website “The site will be designed to provide a personalised and interactive mean of informing users of the risks they might be taking by their current lifestyle patterns”

What does this mean? We want the session on our website to be personal and different to every user who logs on There will be no generalisation and large amounts of text that the user has to sort through to find out what risks they are at. Our site will do the work for them

How will we do this? The opening page will contain a quick survey The user will enter personal information, e.g weight, height etc Using JavaScript we will process this information, calculating BMI and comparing the entered information to the risk parameters given in ABS report.

What will the user gain? The information entered will be processed and the only the diseases that they at risk of will be displayed, according to their current condition and habits Information on diseases Advice Training Programs Eating Plans

Target Audience We will be targeting an adult audience (20- 60) as these are the people most at risk of dying and are at ages where it is not to late to turn around their health conditions

Philosophy of the Website We want to force the relevant information onto the user, so they are somewhat confronted with the risks they are taking Easy and simple to use and navigate

What will it be called? AmIatRisk.com.au

Why? Fits with purpose and philosophy of being personal and confronting to the user Quite catchy and easy to remember

Where are we getting information from? ABS document provided Disease information from the document and other medical websites Diets and exercise plans from CSRIO website
