THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF INFORMATION SYSTEM PSIKOTEST FOR PETRA CAREER CENTER IN PETRA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY MELLY PRANITA TJANDRA

BACKGROUND The constantly growing amount of tests and results causes difficulties in both storing and sorting of old data Implementation of the tests conducted repeatedly and assessment which is still manually cause the test results to be long to be processed

P ROBLEM DEFINITION How to manage the various of aptitude test that match to the needs of Petra Career Center How to manage the test that already available How to make the aptitude test module and time estimation for the test How to process the aptitude test input from user to a form that can be analyze by the program How to show the result from analytical process that proceed manually and automatically

PURPOSE To make an application to facilitate Petra Career Center to make an aptitude test also store the results in computerize mode, so much faster to be accessed again at a certain time.

S COPE The inputs : The form of test to be carried out The aptitude test that will be stored The aptitude answers from users There will be a timer to limit progresses tests Input from user will be process according to the test taken before. If they choose personality test, the answers will be process according to MBTI (Myers-Brigg Type Indicator) the outputs are characteristic percentage, suitable jobs

MBTI (M YERS -B RIGG T YPE I NDICATOR ) MBTI is a personality development created by Isabel Myers and Katherine Brigg Basic models of MBTI are mental processes and mental orientation From the 2 models above, they created 16 type of characteristic (p.10)

Q UESIONAIRRE NoCriteria Respondents Result (%) 1 Program interface Ease of use of the program Instructions given to the user in using application convinience in using the program

C ONCLUSIONS Implementation of the test can be done by many users at the same time For people who rarely use the computer, it takes much longer in the process of this test Testing programs based on questionnaire assessment test, get scores %

SUGGESTION For further development, it should be added another test construction process and expected to display the program become easier to use also description for the execution of tests may be clarified
