Phase 2 CleanUp Review reports to identify local cataloging practices and address problems that are inconsistent with the MARC guidelines. During the review look for and identify the location of such things as: Local Information MARC tags with data unique to a specific bank/branch Data entered for searching purposes in MultiLIS fields rather than the standard MARC tags (i.e.: target audience information (521), reading program information (526), award information (586), and funding information (590 or item note) Item information belonging on the bib record instead of the item record Review reports to identify local cataloging practices and address problems that are inconsistent with the MARC guidelines.
