We considered that some behaviours matched some of the leadership styles If you need to TELL someone something [ Authoritative] If you need to SELL a concept to the team [Consultative] If you want the team to PARTICIPATE then be [supportive] If you want to ENABLE a team (under caution – see self directed teams) [delegative]

Leader’s promote creativity in the workplace When we think of leaders we know, how well are they at promoting creativity in the workplace? This means that new ideas are created to come up with solutions to current or future problems.. In order to promote ownership and a sense of responsibility, allowing a work team to find their own solutions is a key trait of good leadership. Follow the links on the next page to find out more…

Self Managed Teams Power to the People The videos you just watched should have given you some ideas about creativity and innovation and how that can be utilised in the workplace to promote the idea of self managed teams… think about how you might be able to promote such an ethos in your place of work and make any relevant notes.
