Where Can I Find The Deciduous Forest! It can be found throughout the globe. Some are found in the eastern half of North America, middle Europe, Asia, Japan, eastern China, southern Chile, Paraguay, New Zealand and Australia.

Climate The deciduous forest includes four seasons: –Winter, –Spring –Summer –Fall The leaves on the trees begin changing color in the fall, and drop to the ground in the winter. The temperature ranges from 90 or more degrees Fahrenheit in the summer to below freezing in the winter.

Plants in the Deciduous Forest Plants adjust their growth to the seasons of the year. In spring, low-growing wildflowers emerge. Once the tree leaves are out and shade the forest floor, many of these plants' leaves wither and die. In summer large-leafed plants adapted to low light conditions, because of the shade from the trees' leaves, grow.

Animals in the Deciduous Forest Animals that live in the temperate deciduous forest must be able to adapt to the changing seasons. Some animals in this biome migrate or hibernate in the winter. A wide variety of mammals, birds, insects,and reptiles can be found here. Mammals that can be found include: bears, raccoons, squirrels, skunks, wood mice, and deer.
