The Nameless Boys Names are for society use Nameless Island More than just a Paradise, it is a blank slate English Schoolboys= Innocent Ralph ignores the “fat boy” Fat = weak: Even in paradise, people are prejudice toward the weak

Meet Piggy Piggy desperately wants to befriend Ralph Desperation is a sign of weakness Diction: the choice and use of words and phrases in speech or writing Possible working class family? He is smart His idea to blow the conch to call meeting Is a civilizing force Getting people together to form a plan
