Us teenager’s are what?? The teenage generation is one that probably never be forgotten. With our summer being known as the “Summer of Love”; we were aimed at getting one point across, Peace & Love. While we had music blaring from our bedrooms such as The Beatles & The Beach Boys, and wasting our time getting wasted we made a mark in history. So, instead of listening to the adults say we aren’t getting anywhere in our lives like this, hold on to your lava lamps & as them “Did you make a mark in history?”

President Lyndon B. Johnson One of our reporters got to visit a conference with our President & here are a few asked questions and how he responded. Q: What are some of the issues you are dealing with as President and the world? A: More troops are getting sent to Vietnam everyday. Protesters and peace rallies are getting out of hand. Q: How about the economy? A: So far the economy is in check. Inflation is low and so is unemployment. Q:What social issues are effecting our country? A: The fact that Israel went to war with Syria is challenging us for our armed forces. America’s opinion on Johnson is iffy this year due to the war. Lyndon Baine Johnson was born August 27, Was elected Vice President seven years ago, and became 36 th President after Kennedy’s death. He signed in the Civil Rights Act & increased social service programs.

The “Hippie culture” has influence society in a way that has gone world wide. Sending out a politically charged message of peace, love, & brotherhood has rocked America hard. With peace rallies and protesters to bring home our troops from Vietnam. I believe they have made their mark in politics, music, fashion, & art. While even teenagers participate in the “stoned” like life-style. Popular music group The Beatles has played apart in the “Hippie Culture” through their music & by the way the band members themselve act. John Lennon, lead singer, writes the groups songs based on the effects of drugs and the great feelings that they give you.

Rosemary’s Baby By: Ira Levin A young couple, Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse, move to a Gothic Revival style apartment in New York City. Once they decide to finally have a child, Guy starts hanging out with their “Satanic coven” neighbor’s she’s afraid their baby will be in danger. But what is really the case is far from what Rosemary expected. IRA LEVINS At age 15 Levins decided on the career of a writer. Studied at Elite Horace Mann School, then two years at Drake University before he transferred to New York university her e his majors were English and philosophy. Earning his degree in 1950, he was drafted into the army 3 years later. During that time he wrote and produced training films for Uncle Sam. He also started writing for theatre plays.
