California Connects - Digital Divide California Community College Award Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) $10.9 million – intensive student and community outreach to train and educate individuals with limited experience and access to technology MESA and general student population - access to computers - narrowing the digital divide gap Challenges in ensuring connectivity – rural communities Community college MESA students as Community Trainers Making digital literary tools available to all CCC students
