WHAT IS STATISTICS? Statistics involves collecting, analyzing, and presenting information, called data. Graphs display data to help readers make sense of the information.

TYPES OF GRAPHS Graphs are pictures that help us understand quantities (or amounts). These amounts are called data. There are many kinds of graphs, each having special parts. Often, it is better to use one type of graph than another to display your data.
