The role of the Early Recovery Advisor DOCO Strategic Planning Training Workshop, November 2008, New York

The CWGER Early Recovery Cluster is one of 11 Clusters UNDP leads CWGER with 26 members 3 focus areas: Technical support for ER at country level Tools and guidance for ER Strengthening partnerships

The Role of the ER Advisor Deployed on behalf of (and paid for by)the CWGER Specific Tasks: supporting the work of the RC/HC in overseeing inter-cluster and inter-agency ER linkages facilitating the Early Recovery Network Assessing ER needs Development of an ER Strategic Framework Information Management for ER

Links with SPs and PDAs Targeted role in ER assessment, planning, coordination Feeds into, but is only one part, of planning process for broader recovery/transition process (overseen by SP) Informed by work of PDA on social cohesion, and reliant on PDA to help mainstream conflict prevention throughout ER interventions
