Womersley (UK) I presented the development of the ECT* in recent years and its present status in some detail. Renewal of the MoU: The present MoU, endorsed by the Scientific Board of ECT* and the former ECT* Director Jean-Paul Blaizot, and inherited by the present ECT* Director, was signed in October 2008 for five years and thus will expire in October This means that the MoU has to be renewed soon.

Final remark Professor Wolfram Weise / TU Munich has signed with the Fondazione Bruno Kessler a contract and will be ECT*s new Director from November 01, 2012 on. Im already involving him in all matters concerning future developments of the ECT*. He has e.g. acted as external member of a Research Personnel Assessment Committee for the Staff Stabilization Program of the ECT*, and has been and will be present, respectively, at Scientific Board Meetings on June 04 and September 29, 2012.
