Graduated Assessment for OCR GCSE Mathematics From September 2006 GCSE Maths is being offered at two tiers only, Foundation and Higher. Our bestselling series for the three-tier specification is being completely updated to fully support the new two- tier modular specification. With our brand new resources, endorsed by OCR for use with the OCR GCSE Mathematics C (Graduated Assessment) specification, making the switch to a two tier GCSE will be straightforward for both you and your school.

Why new resources? The changes to the specification are not simply a case of merging Intermediate content into Foundation and Higher content For the first time you will be teaching Foundation students up to a grade C Foundation students will need access to grade C material, and will need more guidance towards it Higher students will need to be exposed to a wider range of Maths than previously

Why Hodder Murray? All the materials are endorsed by OCR for use with the OCR GCSE Mathematics C (Graduated Assessment) specification. The resources have been written by experienced examiners and authors, and combine their teaching and examining experience to provide the ideal flexible modular course, giving full support for students and plenty of opportunities for consolidation work

How will it work? This modular course comprises ten stages Students will study at least two modules, and will be assessed terminally as well as by module Students study the modules most suited to their abilities Foundation tier candidates will sit two modules from M1 to M7 Higher tier candidates will sit two modules from M6 to M10

How will it work? This series has a Student’s Book, Teacher’s Resource and Homework Book matched to each of the modules as following: S1/S2 S3/S4 S5 S6 S7 S8 S9/S10 S1/S2 – one Student’s Book covers both modules S7 – one Student’s Book covers one module

Why Hodder Murray? In addition to the module-matching Student’s Books, Homework Books and Teacher’s Resource, there is an Assessment Pack for each tier Bespoke digital resources for both students and teachers support learning and teaching throughout the course and include: Interactive Investigations, Interactive Assessment and our GCSE Mathematics Personal Tutor.

Why Hodder Murray? Written from scratch for the new modular specification Tailor-made digital resources Full colour Student’s Books Comprehensive, dedicated Teacher’s Resource Books and Assessment Packs offer support in planning and assessment Homework Books offer extra practice and contain a Personal Tutor CD-ROM for reference and consolidation

Student’s Books Clear explanations and worked examples Activities and exercises provide plenty of practice Every chapter ends with a summary of the key ideas, reinforcing learning Revision exercises with exam-style questions help students prepare for the modular exams Coursework information and advice gives full support

Teacher’s Resources (with CD-ROM) Matching Teacher’s Resources for each Student’s Book Teacher’s notes and tips on teaching those topics that cause difficulty in the exam Answers to all questions in the Student’s Books

Homework Books (with interactive CD-ROM) The Homework Books, one for Foundation and one for Higher, include a parallel exercise for every exercise in the Student’s Books, providing ready-made homework Each of the Homework Books contains a Personal Tutor CD-ROM which provides the perfect audio- visual companion for reference and consolidation

Assessment Packs Contain photocopiable graded mixed exercises and mock exam papers, both with full mark schemes, enabling your students to prepare thoroughly for their exams. There is one Assessment Pack for the Foundation tier and one for the Higher tier. Includes the answers to all questions in the Homework Books.

Personal Tutors The Personal Tutor CD-ROMs, one for Foundation and one for Higher, are for use on a whiteboard as a whole-class teaching tool or for individual computer use as a consolidation and revision tool. Each CD-ROM contains audio-visual worked examples for every topic in the specification. Display worked solutions to a whole class – especially useful for those teaching a topic for the first time Pace of commentary can be controlled, rewound and replayed for further clarification

Interactive Investigations Interactive Investigations provides a simple yet effective way of integrating ICT into your GCSE teaching and explores ways in which mathematics can be investigated using commonly available software. Each investigation starts with a whole-class demonstration – engaging students from the outset Differentiated CD-ROM allows activities to be carried out at both Foundation and Higher tiers Provides practice on the use of ICT in the study of maths Ideal preparation for Coursework tasks

Interactive Assessment In order to provide your students with the best preparation possible for their exams, the Interactive Assessment CD-ROMs will provide formative assessment texts that are automatically graded as well as providing feedback and extra test material in areas for individual improvement.
