What is an Age Friendly Home? An age friendly home is easy to move around in and easy to use No matter what your age or ability, an age friendly home can adapt It is different to the Home And Community Care (HACC) program

How did the idea develop? The Age Friendly Communities project highlighted that people want to stay in their own homes The Disability Services Commission recently developed the Liveable Homes resource

Partnered with the Sustainable Mandurah Home to provide images and a real life example incorporating universal design 18 Grandmere Parade Meadow Springs Mandurah WA 6210

How to use the kit? There will be a series of checklists that can guide a person through their home The checklists are used to assess each area to consider current and future needs Suggestions are flexible A webpage is being developed alongside the printed resource

Watch this space! The Minister for Seniors and Volunteering, Hon Robyn McSweeney MLC, will officially launch the kit Please sign the Register of Interest to have a copy (or copies) sent to you once it is ready
