Respect: A Two Way Street

Respect What is Respect? What does it mean to show people respect? How can you show someone Respect?

These are ways we can show Respect: Being nice Doing your daily work and chores Treating others the way you would like to be treated Doing nice things because it feels good to do Loving others and NOT making them feel bad

More Ways to show Respect Make eye contact Raise your hand before talking Hand in your homework on time and complete Be on time for the bus DON’T talk back to adults Picking up after yourself if you make a mess

What can happen when we show Respect? You will be looked at more highly by your peers You can develop meaningful friendships You get more respect in return More positive versus negative interactions You may even receive some rewards from parents/guardians
