Tony has been searching the Internet and has found great pictures for his science report. Is that okay just to use? Explain. As long as he gives the source from which it came, he can use the picture.

Ashley has to write a paragraph about the Oregon Trail for her social studies report. She found the perfect paragraph on the Internet and copied it in her own handwriting. Is that okay? Explain. This act is considered plagiarism and is not ethical.

Matt let Martin copy his homework, so Matt ed it to Martin. Martin put his name on it and turned it in. Is that okay? Explain. Martin was dishonest and took another persons work to claim as his own.

Angela copies and pastes a portion of a page from a website into the middle of her document. Is that okay? Explain. As long as Angela gives the person who wrote the web article credit it is okay. If she does not, that is plagiarism.
