Removing the Side Cover Remove the side cover by sliding the black release button downward and sliding the cover to the left

Side Cover Removed This is what the Dell Dimension 3000 will look like after the cover has been removed from the side

Removing Cooling Fan To remove the cooling fan, lift the green cover to expose the fan Pull the black release backward and slide the component to the left Unplug the cord that is connected to the motherboard
