Goals and plans for coming year 1.Pediatric Transplant Master Academy 2.Review of Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Guidelines for Training in Advanced Heart Failure, Transplantation, and Pulmonary Hypertension 3.Pediatric Transplant Core Competencies 4.Recruitment of new pediatric workforce leaders and pediatric council representatives/liaisons to other ISHLT Committees (I2C2, BSTR, Pharm) 5.Engagement with Pediatric Transplant Google Group 6.International Pediatric Lung Transplant Consortium 1.Revision of treatment protocols 2.Completion of Pediatric Lung Transplant Monograph

Goals and plans for coming year Creation of new workforce: Pediatric Heart Failure Initiative from pediatric heart failure specialists (via Pediatric Heart Transplant Study group) to form an organized consortium ISHLT Pediatric Council – best home to foster development and collaboration (rather than independent organization) Introductory meeting during Prague conference with >20 international participants, workforce leader identified.

Pediatric Heart Failure Workforce Goals –Accelerate advancement of field via international collaboration –Develop consensus guidelines for pediatric heart failure management –Increase involvement of pediatric and CHD heart failure specialists in ISHLT –Strengthen collaboration among heart failure centers for trials/registries –Develop educational material for clinicians, patients, and families

Key discussion points and action items for the Board 1. Approval for development of Pediatric Heart Failure Workforce within the Pediatric Council 2. Consider increase in number of independently sponsored Pediatric Council symposia in annual meeting to represent diversity of field Over 20 symposia submissions for pediatric lung and cardiac transplant
