Grace Snow Godbout (Sandy) 20 Years

Grace Snow Godbout – 20 Years  Grace is an HR Assistant on the Benefits and Wellness team.  She was hired in 1995 as a Clerk Office Secretary in the Comptroller’s office.  She transitioned to Human Resources as a Human Resources Technician and was later promoted to HR Assistant.  In 1999, she went through more than 10,000 benefits files to implement an electronic filing system.  Grace is part of the Emergency Support Function 15 and worked all four Hurricanes in *

Luis E. Cordoves 30 Years

Luis E. Cordoves – 30 Years  Luis is a State Certified Building Inspector.  He was hired by Facilities Management in 1985 as a Janitor and six months later was promoted to a Cabinet Maker.  He worked in the cabinet shop for seven years while studying the Building Code and earning his license.  In 1992, he was hired by the Building Department as a Building Inspector.  In 1999, he started working as a Code Enforcement Officer but after six months he realized it wasn't for him and returned to the Building Department. *

Edward Johnson (E.J.) 20 Years

Edward Johnson – 20 Years  Edward is a GIS Technician.  He started his Orange County career in 1995 in Real Estate Management.  He also worked in Utilities Water Engineering.  In 2013, he served on the Black History Committee.  Edward has been a United Way Representative for the Orange County employee giving campaign since  He earned an Associate’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene University and transferred to Florida State University to continue his education in Business Management and Engineering. *

William R. Thomas 30 Years

William R. Thomas – 30 Years  William is a Planner III.  He was hired by Planning in  He transferred to Parks and Recreation in 1989 as a Planning Aid. He has been promoted to Planner I, II and III.  William has brought over $56 million in recreational trail and park grants to the County.  He assisted in developing the Trails Master Plan and oversaw the local Florida Boating Improvement Program.  William served as Orange County’s representative on the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee and as the Local Government Representative on the Florida Greenways and Trails Council. *

Gregory James Klima 30 Years

Gregory James Klima – 30 Years Gregory James Klima – 30 Years  Gregory is a Correctional Corporal.  He started his Orange County Career in 1985 in the Sheriff’s Office.  Over the years, he has worked at the Main Facility and the Horizon Facility.  In 1990, he was promoted to Corporal.  Gregory has received several awards including the Orange Award, a commendation for stopping a wrongful release and the Award of Excellence for using CPR on an inmate.  He has worked all 30 years in the Corrections Department. *

Darla Marie Wilkes 20 Years

Darla Marie Wilkes – 20 Years  Darla is an Administrative Assistant in Cooperative Extension.  She started her Orange County career in 1995 as an Administrative Specialist and was promoted to Administrative Assistant in  She also worked in Court Administration as an Electronic Court Reporter from 1992 to  Darla earned the Meritorious Support Service Award which is a national recognition for her support of the mission, program and professional staff of Cooperative Extension. *

Virginia W. Herring 35 Years

Virginia W. Herring – 35 Years  Virginia is a Caseworker.  She started working for Orange County in She has worked on a variety of resident programs including Commodities, Pro-Pet, Voter Registration, LiHeap, Weatherization, and is an Emergency Responder.  She worked in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service through the Stakeholder Partnerships, Education, and Communication program, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and the Tax Counseling for the Elderly.  She has earned numerous awards including a commendation from the Director of Head Start for excellence in serving the families of Orange County. *

Sheryl L. Ziggler 25 Years

Sheryl L. Ziggler – 25 Years  Sheryl is an Administrative Support Clerk.  She worked one year in a temporary position before being hired in a permanent capacity in  She served on the Program Development Committee for 15 years.  She supported and assisted with the Orange Blossom Park Project.  Over the years, she has continued to grow professionally by taking Passport training classes. *

Utilities Field Services

Marc Brown 25 Years

Marc Brown – 25 Years  Marc supervises 25 employees responsible for the maintenance and repair of the water systems on the east side of the county as well as the Capital Construction Crew.  He started with Wastewater Collections as a Trades Helper.  He was promoted to Sewer Cleaner Inspector, Maintenance Technician, Shop Coordinator, Engineering Technician III, Maintenance Coordinator, Senior Maintenance Coordinator and Supervisor.  Marc earned his FDEP Level 1 Distribution system Operator License, Class A Wastewater Collection System Operator Certification and Reclaimed Water Field Inspector Certification. *

Tim Madhanagopal 30 Years

Tim Madhanagopal – 30 Years  Tim is a Section Manager overseeing the South Water Reclamation Facility.  He started his Orange County career as a Staff Engineer in Utilities Engineering.  He was promoted to Senior Engineer and then to Section Manager. He was the Acting Assistant Divisional Manager from 1995 to  He has received countless Academic, Fellow Designations, Engineer of the Year, National, State and Regional awards. He even received two Lifetime Achievement Awards. *
