Wrapping Up Scenic Design A fun and easy project to refresh your memory, check for understanding, and set the stage for our next unit

O/A/J l Objective: Present a scenic design to clearly convey a holiday- or season- specific concept. l Agenda: Journal; 10 minute meeting; Present and assess; summary and reflection l Journal: Please make a to do list for your ten minute group meeting.

What To Do? l Designer responsibilities – Meet with the Director– a lot. – Paperwork (name the documents if you want candy) – Model (why?)

Set Pieces l Stock vs Custom – What’s the difference? – Examples of each? l Flats – Standard size – Construction – Hollywood vs Broadway

This concept must be approved by Miss Breeden. l Each group will work together to present a full scenic design for an environment meant to evoke the concept selected by the group.
