HIV Prevalence & Current Status of the Epidemic in Ethiopia National HIV prevalence (single point estimate): 2.4% for 2010 The epidemic is generally stabilizing with signs of decline in major cities; whereas, an elevated epidemic in small towns & market centers. Young populations, especially never-married sexually active females have the greatest risk of HIV infection in the country; discordant couples are also a concern Jimma Univeristy, Ethiopia
