energy noun the strength to do something without getting tired This meal will give me lots of energy. The sun has much energy. Energy drinks are not a good source of energy.

opponent noun someone who is against you in a game My opponent got the ball from me in the game. I beat my opponent in the basketball game. I shook my opponent’s hand after the game.
