 You are expected copy down all notes  Longer word problems do not need to be copied down they will be made available online  Even though the notes will be made available online ALL students are still expected to take the notes down.  Failure to do so will result to the notes not being made available online.

 Homework will be assigned almost every night  In order to receive full credit you must show work  No work will result in no credit  You CAN NOT just write answer down you are expected to show how you found your answer  3 NO HWS = 1 DEMERIT

 You will be allowed to use SCIENTIFIC calculators in class  Policy: IF YOU TYPE IT YOU WRITE IT  You are expected to bring you own calculator to class, I do have extra calculators just in case  Leave your calculator in your school bag at all times  Less of a chance you will loss it  Using a calculator is a privilege if you abuse the privilege you will not allowed to use a calculator

 There will be a test or quiz almost every week  Difference between a test or quiz is that a quiz is on less topics  All test and quiz results are posted on Power School  Any grade that is a 1 or 2 (D or F for 8 th graders) must be signed by a parent/guardian  Failure to do so will result in a no homework and a phone call home

You are expected to have your supplies with you EVERYDAY. If you are consistently unprepared you will receive a demerit.  3 ring binder (NO spiral notebooks NO marble notebooks)  I only want math to be in this binder. Please NO other subjects  Dividers  Notes section  Test and quiz section  PENCILS  I do not accept work done in pen or erasable pen  Scientific calculator  If you are unsure show me before opening it

 Most of the homework will be assigned from the textbook  Keep text books at home (I will have a set of books in school for use if needed)  DO NOT write in the text book

 I offer extra help everyday at recess  It is the students responsibility to sign up for extra help and to come  Extra help is essential for success in math  Do not wait for the last minute to seek out help (I can not re-teach a whole chapter in 20 minutes)  Come to extra help with questions or something to work on  Extra Help is NOT a social club you come to extra help to get help NOT to hangout with your friends

Please sign and have your parent/guardian sign after reading. By signing you acknowledge that you went through the rules and agree to follow them. Student: X______________________________________ Parent/Guardian: X_____________________________________
