The way of the future Tomorrows resources Today

Definitions Sustainable Technology ? Purpose: To advance the understanding, development and application of technologies and methods of prevention, removal and control of environmental risks to human health and ecology. Green Technology / Clean Technology ?

Advantages of going Green Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. energy and water usage. the amount of waste they generate as well as ensuring safe. work conditions. the amount of money that can be save. easier and safer work environment.

Disadvantages of going Green workers are going to have be trained. spend more money on the equipment depending on what it is. spend more to fixed the equipment. less employees need it.

The Original Coal Miners Jobs Affected by the creation of Green Collar Jobs

Coal Miners were first replaced by machines, now with the threat of global warming they are being replaces by green technology.

Top 10 Jobs in Environmental Technology 10-Electrician 9-Carpenters 8-Geoscientist 7-Plummers, Pipefitters, and Steamfitters 6-Enviornmental Engineers 5-Construction and Building Inspectors 4-Enviornmental Scientist and Specialist 3-First-Line supervisors/Managers of Construction Trades and Extraction Workers 2-Industrial Engineers 1-Construction Managers

Electricians Annual earnings: $44,780 Percent growth: 7.4 percent A lot of installations require the work of electricians. Solar panels, transformers, and power grids at power plants are among these installations. "There are a lot of electronic controls and equipment that control" green technology. Carpenters Annual earnings: $37,660 Percent growth: 10.3 percent Carpenters are needed to implement green construction. They can use materials made from old materials or recycle those from rehabilitated buildings. They're also needed for newer project. "If you're putting solar panels on your roof, you might need to make some modifications Plumbers, Pipefitters, and Steam Fitters Annual earnings: $44,090 Percent growth: 10.6 percent Plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters apply their skills to several green industries. They direct steam to create energy. They install and maintain piping at ethanol power plants, geothermal plants, and within solar and water heaters.
