Curriculum Structure 4 units for the year each unit has 4 themes spend 2 weeks per theme

Grading and Assessments Treasures Grade 2 Midterm Final Quizzes 20% Writing Projects 10% Homework & Assignments 15% Participation Responsibility 5% Tests 40%

Quizzes (20%) Given on every other Friday (10th day of the theme) Will test grammar, spelling and vocabulary found in each unit Will be reviewed in class

Participation (10%) Encourages students to take charge of their learning Self assessment and teacher assessment

Responsibility (5%) Students need to learn to take responsibility for their actions Finish and hand in homework on time Ask parents to review and sign homework

Tests (40%) Will follow school schedule (during October and December) Dates to be announced
