Seven Golden Lampstands When I turned to see who was speaking to me, I saw seven golden lampstands (1 v 12) The seven lampstands are the seven churches (1 v 20)

The Throne And I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it. (4 v 2)

The Lion Lamb Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne has won the victory. Then I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered (5 v 6)

Even before he made the world God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. Ephesians 1 v 4 God chose him as your ransom long before the world began. (1 Peter 1 v 20)

The Fallen City I saw another angel come down from heaven. He gave a mighty shout. Babylon is fallen – that great city is fallen. (18 v 1,2)

The Holy City And I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. (21 v 1)

Saviour, if of Zion’s city, I through grace a member am: Let the world deride or pity, I will glory in Thy Name. Fading is the worldling’s pleasure, all its boasted pomp and show; Solid joys and lasting treasure none but Zion’s children know. (John Newton)
