 What is POLLUTION? -Pollution is caused by significant amounts of pollutants that are/is introduced into the air, water and soil, making these resources polluted and unsafe to living things and the environment. These are some examples that can pollute the air and land:

pesticides

Aerosol spray with CFC

 How can POLLUTION be prevented as an Atenean? -Pollution can be prevented by not burning plastic and rotten food in the soil or ground and also, by recycling things. If pollution can’t be stopped earlier, it can deplete or makes our ozone layer thinner. And that is why we are having this new problem called GLOBAL WARMING.

 What are the 2 Most Fatal Ailments? -Cancer and hypertension are the Most Fatal Ailments at present, killing people at various ages. Researches have shown that these ailments are related to the kind of food that people eat. These are some examples of food products that have ingredients that can be harmful to one’s health:

Soft Drinks

 How can we prevent ourselves by having health problems as an Atenean? -We can prevent ourselves from having health problems by looking at the “Nutrition Facts” at the back of any food product and look if you see the words: additives and preservatives, because that can cause cancer especially if they are taken excessively.

Example of “Nutrition Facts”

Mixtures can improve & make’s one life convenient, but there are times when these substances cause accidents because of people’s carelessness & ignorance. These are some examples that can cause accidents:
