What is Global Warming and What Can We Do?
Task Our Students will work together to gather information that explains global warming and how we can fix it. Roles 4 Students Group Land Pollution: Find examples of Land Pollution and How we can fix it. Water Pollution: Find examples of Water Pollution and how it effects people. Air Pollution: Researches Greenhouse gases and examples of air pollution. Scientist: Researches renewable and nonrenewable resources and Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Land Pollution 1.How do people rely on the land? 2.What are some examples of land pollution?
Water Pollution 1.How does water pollution affect wildlife? 2.What are some examples of water pollution?
Air Pollution 1.What are green house gases and how does it affect the Earth’s atmosphere? 2.What are some examples of air pollution?
Solutions from the Scientist 1.What are renewable and nonrenewable resources? Give some examples. 2.What are the differences between Reduce, Reuse, Recycle? Give examples of each
Open Ended Questions 1.What are some ways we can reduce pollution? 2.What could happen if global warming continues? 3.Do you think global warming can be stopped? Why or why not?
At the end of the class each student will receive a small tree to plant and take care of in order to help reverse global warming.
