 I was born in Wellsville, Utah in Cache Valley.  I have been married 6 years now to my wife Dani. We met at Utah State University in a sociology class.  My first name is Mike!

 On July 25 th, 2011 we had our first child together.  Jerry is now 2 years old. He likes to go outside, have cookies, watch Shrek, wrestle with dad, and talk all the time.  More recently me and my wife had a second child this past January. Ethan is now seven months old.  I love being a dad it is the best part of my life.

 Let me tell you about my immediate family growing up..  I am the second youngest of six kids. I have an older brother who is a dentist in Oregon and a sister who is a nurse in Arizona.  My dad is a Principal of a middle school in Cache Valley.

 I love to travel.  Some of my favorite places I have traveled to are Jamaica, Bahamas, Mexico, Alaska, Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Scotland, England, Washington D.C., and Oregon.

 I spent two years in Scotland on a mission for the LDS Church.  I still love to speak with a Scottish accent and you will constantly find me using Scottish words in class.

 Six years ago I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelors Degree in Biological Science.  I met my wife at Utah State University where she has recently graduated with a degree in Technical Writing

 I recently graduated from Utah State University again this time with my Masters Degree in Instructional Technology.  I am currently attending Utah State University to get my administrative endorsement so I can be a principal/vice-principal in the coming years.

 I love movies!  Some of my favorite movies include Lord of the Rings, Saving Private Ryan, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Indiana Jones, and Serenity.  Recent Movies/TV shows I have seen an liked are The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes, and The Walking Dead.

 I like video games!  I own an Xbox 360 and a PS3 which I like to play in my spare time although I have less and less of it these days.  Some of my favorite recent video games are Battlefield 3, Halo Reach, Uncharted, The Last of Us, etc.

 I like sports.  My two favorite teams are the Denver Broncos and the Phoenix Suns.  The Utah Jazz are probably my second favorite basketball team.

 Sports I like include basketball, baseball, football, golf, and tennis.

 My favorite bands are probably Dave Matthews Band, Counting Crows, Mumford and Sons and Coldplay.  I do like all sorts of music though and I’ll listen to about anything.  This year you will hear plenty of music during class.

 In addition to traveling me and my wife like to go camping and hiking.  We are pictured hiking around a waterfall in Jamaica to the right.  We also like going to comedy clubs, hanging out with family, and just laughing.

 Science is Awesome. I like it because it explains all of the different aspects of the world we live in.  My dad was a science teacher and so was his dad.  I remember from a young age watching my dad perform experiments and I always thought it was cool.

 Throughout the year if you have any questions or concerns, please just ask me or me. I feel like I am really easy to work with and understanding but I need to know there is a problem before I can address it.
