Why do we have a dress code? SHS staff and administration want you to make good choices. We are not trying to inhibit your style. Prom should be fun, but we want everyone to be comfortable and safe. With modesty in mind, the dress code guidelines will be enforced.

Dress code rules The SHS prom dress code applies to both SHS students and their dates. It is the responsibility of the students to inform their dates of the dress code guidelines. As you begin shopping for a dress/suit, please keep the following guidelines in mind: * While we will be reasonable in the interpretation of these guidelines, we want you to know that you will not be allowed to participate in Prom activities if you are not dressed appropriately. * If you have specific questions about the Formal Dress Code, please see the campus principal for clarification

No cover-ups (coats, shawls, sweaters) will be allowed over dresses that do not meet dress code.

Dress Code Interpretation While we will be reasonable in our interpretation, you should know that you will not be allowed into the dance if you are not dressed appropriately. Most importantly, the dress code does not limit your ability to show your style and uniqueness.
