WHAT WE DID AND WHAT WE DO NOW Public Relations students formally completed three work term reports –First and second reports were similar to a SWOT analysis –Third report was a reflective paper Now: 1.Written report on a problem/project or an examination of a communication theory in practice 2.Portfolio 3.Reflective seminar

WHY THE CHANGE? Students don’t enjoy writing reports /boredom Last minute efforts Challenges in finding topics Continuously trying to improve practice and be creative Industry trends Student initiative Mentoring for new co-op students Increase opportunity for reflection
