Subliminal Recruiting CTSO’s are expanding and some of the events are not being taught in the business department. Find out what other classes your students are taking and allow the other teachers to help. Teachers will view these as lesson plans/activities and appreciate the help. Other TeachersBusiness Teachers t Increase your AP Courses and make sure guidance is aware of your articulation credits, and all other “sellers” in your department to increase your student population. Know Your Administration! What makes your principal happy? –If they like trips, invite them to the conference –If they like awards, showcase everything! 10 th place in the state is more than no medal Make sure your principal knows everything that you are doing and that it is an application of classroom content. WHAT WORKS FOR YOU? I always communicate electronically with my students, it has helped tremendously with forms, etc. Be honest, if you don’t know or missed a deadline inform the students. They will help next time. Recruiting? Retention?
