Thank you ladies and gentlemen. First of all may I say how pleased I am to be here and have this opportunity of telling you about our company's future plans. As you know, the economic situation nowadays is far from certain and making any sort of plans is therefore rather difficult. However, I want today to look at the optimistic side of the picture and to show you how my company can help yours as we move into the 21 st century. We have exciting times ahead. Let's seize our opportunities. That doesn't look very difficult. Mr Fernandez isn't in his office today. Please don't do that. The figures he gave us seemed very good but I'm not sure if they were totally reliable.

ELEMENTS of the INTRODUCTION 1Greet the audience and introduce yourself 2Tell them the objective of the presentation 3Tell them what you are going to say 4Explain the structure of your talk First I’m going to talk about egg eating in Zanzibar. Then I’ll go on to consider why Zanzibar has so many chickens. After that we’ll consider whether eggs should be banned worldwide. And finally I’ll outline our proposals on killing all chickens. So let me begin with the question of egg eating.

THE ENDING Tell them what you have said plus (maybe) : a recommendation or call for action or a challenge A dynamic concluding statement and ‘Thank you’

DEALING WITH ANXIETY and STRESS Stress : ‘The balance between the demands made on you - and your ability to cope with those demands.’ Your pituitary gland releases hormones into your bloodstream - these hormones go to your adrenal glands (in your kidneys). Adrenal glands release adrenaline - different effects on different people.
