Parents can access their child’s current grades by clicking the Pinnacle link from our school website, and logging on with their user ID and password. User ID is their Student ID number and the password is their birthdate (YYYY/MM/DD). HONOR ROLL Conduct grades below a “1” eliminate students from the honor roll.

Specials Schedule! 1. Coding Academy 2. P.E. 3. Spanish 4. Music 5. Panther Principles 6. D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) or G.R.A.D.E. (Gang Related and Drug Education) This means that if today we went to P.E., we will then continue down the list to Friday which will be Spanish. THEN the following Monday we will go to their 6th special, Music. So specials are no longer attached to a specific day. Students will be responsible for knowing which special they have each day. Our webpage will also have the Specials for that week. If there is no school during the week, the rotation will also have a “day off” meaning we pick up where we left off on the rotation once school resumes.

Dismissal Earlier Dismissal Time 2:00pm Terms… “Siblings” Students who wait for older brothers and/or sisters from the Middle/High This program is NOT for students being picked up from carpool. Parents with Middle/High children have to make the carpool line twice. MUST be picked up by 2:30pm from: K-2 – Room #114, Bldg B 3-5 – Le Café, by the Middle/High Office MUST sign a “Permission for Dismissal” form even if not walking home. (Rose Price Park) L.E.A.P. After school care

Dismissal Continued “Brothers and Sisters” Bldg B (3-5) students who are escorted to Bldg A (K-2) to pick up a younger sibling Carpool Student gets picked up by an authorized adult in the carpool lane located in the Middle/High circle directly in front of the Middle/High office. Absolutely NO STOPPING or PARKING in the carpool line. It WILL BE strictly enforced. MUST have an elementary car tag. Parents with Middle/High children have to make the carpool line twice. Must be picked up by 2:30pm. After 2:30 students will be walked to the front office and the parents will be charged. Walker Anyone walking off campus, even if it is to meet someone at Rose Price Park is considered a walker. Must have a “Permission for Dismissal” form signed.

Classroom Web Pages A GREAT way to check for important information is through our webpage located at Every FRIDAY, we will update our web pages with homework assignments, specials for the week, important dates, upcoming events, reminders, etc. Parents can sign up to get notifications. The instructions can be found on our webpages.

Volunteer Hours Parents must complete a total of 30 volunteer hours. If you have additional children in the middle or high school, you must add 10 additional hours for each school. Tardy/Attendance Somerset Academy follows Broward County Schools Attendance Policy 5.5! This means every minute counts, from absences, tardiness, and early sign outs. School begins at 8:00 am. Students that arrive late to school must have parents sign them in at the office and pick-up a late pass before walking to the classroom. For absences: Please provide a note or send an explaining the reason your child was absent the day you return to school or send an to If you are planning for a trip or special occasion, you must submit a letter and get prior approval. Failure to get pre-approval may result in unexcused absences on your child’s attendance record.
